Animism:

This is a primitive religion which believes in spiritual beings, and the worship of the soul. The concept of animism came from the experience of sleep, dreams, ghosts and phenomenon of breathing, which was conceived by primitive man as an immaterial animating principle that dwelt in the body and left it at death which is attributed to all that moved and appeared to live such as rivers, trees, sun, moon etc. since these objects were immensely powerful and uncontrollable by man, than the man began to worship them with high degree of veneration corresponding to the measures of his fear, respect or need of them. This concept possess the personified holy spirit and does not have the idea of a perfect god which creates a personified existence of the soul and worships it. This accepts the presence of the soul in all objects however the soul can be free from the body. Thus the man began to recognize the different categories of objects. The worship of natural beings, great or small, spirits of ancestors and other spirits for propitiation, object supposed to be haunted by spirits and supreme beings. In Nepal there are various ethnic groups and religions who have the different ways of conceiving the concept and worship their animist deities respectively.

Some people are passionate worshippers of demons, some to dead spirits and ghosts with accompanying the animals sacrifice and other rituals under the place where they believe of the dwelling place of spirits. Some believe that soul is invisible but intangible limited to human beings and endowed with mysterious facilities. Soul appears in dream, deepsleep and thinking. The soul can survive in vacuum which do not need any particular body. Can survive in trees, in nature and cliffs, skies, air, water, fire etc.
