b Nepal is a small nation situated between two major nations of the world known as India and China. They both are the countries of biggest population and different floras and faunas. Nepal being a small nation represents varieties of climatic and geographic regions which help to form a diverse form of flora and fauna mosaic. The country covers an area of 147,181 square km and averagely 191 km of widths. In the south there is flat tropical land and in the extreme north there are world famous highest mountains with its alpine climate and between these two climatic zones, there is a hilly region with its pleasant weather where we can find the richness of flora. The habitats of birds can be divided into forest, scrub, alpine, wetland, grasslands, and agricultural land and around the human habitation. There are different types of habitats of birds according its climate. They are known as tropical forest, subtropical forest, broadleaved subtropical forest, chir pine, lower temperate forest, moist broadleaved lower temperate forest, dry broadleaved lower temperate forest, blue pine, upper temperate forest, broadleaved upper temperate forest, upper temperate coniferous forest, sub-alpine forest, bamboo forest etc.
The avifauna is different kinds in Nepal such as the birds who is permanent and some birds are migrated from different climatic and geographical regions according to the change on temperature. Some birds are recorded to be migrated from Siberia and from the peninsula of Indian subcontinent. In Nepal, in different season we can observe the birds in different areas of Nepal and commonly they are found in national parks and protected areas of jungles. Chitwan National Park, Gosainkund, Shivapuri wild life reserve, Bardia national park, Phulchoki mountain, Sagarmatha national park, Pokhara valley, Langtang valley, koshi tapu national park, and different national parks. There are nearly 100 different species of birds in Nepal which can be observed during the year. I would like to present the names of the different families of birds following for your knowledge.
You can participate in our regular bird watching program from around the globe. We provide an experience guide who has broad knowledge on avifauna. We are sometime with a group of tourists and sometimes only individuals. Please let us know in an advance if you are interested in participating on the program. Being an unique nation of the largest varieties of birds which covers almost 10%of the avifauna globally, we provide this program with differently. We have an expert to work with us, with broad knowledge on the climatic change and seasonal change. We provide you this service in two different ways.
