Dalai lama is the name of the tiben spiritual and political leader from the 16th century which is same as a dynasty and means the ocean of knowledge and wisdom. He is considered as one of the descendent of the god avalokiteswara and is the manifestation of him to rule the king of tibet. There is a concept of reincarnation which assures the sucesor of him always. This reincarnation is also known as a Tulkus which has to demonstrate higher spiritual qualities before being selected. Present dalai lama is the 14th one who has won the noble peace price in 90 ties.
