Trip overview

Gosainkunda trekking is situated close to the Tibetan border and remote valley enclosed by snow-capped mountains that ends in the peak of langtang(7246m).The trek starts from syabru bensi. A visit to the Langtang valley offers an opportunity to explore Tibetan villages, Tamang Villages, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably   low elevations. Kyanjin Gompa is a last Tibetan Village in the valley, from where a trek starts to Helambu over Ganja La Pass (5200m). The pass itself is not easy, during autumn and spring the pass opens for trekkers.

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

The journey begins as you depart from your home country/city. Once you arrive at the Tribhuwan international airport(TIA) Airport, you are greeted by our airport representative of Adventure Outdoor and drive to hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

After some rest, full day sightseeing at Kathmandu. (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square) with ADVENTURE OUTDOOR team. Overnight at hotel, inclusive of breakfast and in the evening adventure discussion ahead.

Day 03: Drive to Dunche (1966m)

Drive to Dhunche,it will take around 8 hours form Kathmandu to Dunche.

Day 04: Dhunche-Sing Gompa (3250m)

The trail for about an hour is slightly up and down and before climbing up we hike through forest and stop for lunch. After lunch to trek to Sing Gompa.

Day 05: Sing Gompa -Gosainkunda (4360m)

The trail climbs steeply up the ridge. The trail crosses behind the ridge and stays in deep forests for a while. As we ascends, there are outstanding views across Langtang valley to Langtang Lirung. We stop for lunch . We get to see a magnificent views of Ganesh Himal(7406m), Manaslu(8156m) and the Annapurnas. From here we walk gradually up and cross the hill and start walking for an hour and half. (6 hrs).

Day 06: Gosainkunda - Ghopte (3566m)

The trail passes the northern side of Gosainkunda lake and climbs further through rugged country towards Laurenina pass. From the pass, the trail descend alongside a stream through the alpine country and we stop here for lunch. After lunch the trail ascends to Ghopte Odal Cave. ( 6 hrs)

Day 07: Ghopte - Kutumsang

The trial passes through the forest and we gradually walk up to Tharepati. On the ridge of Tharepati we stop for lunch and for the views of Helambu valley, Jugal Himal and some mountain views of north-east. After lunch we descend to Kutumsang through an Oak and rhododendron forest.

Day 08: Kutumsang - Pati Bhanjyang

From Kutumsang a descent through forest reaches Gul Bhanjyang before climbing again to reach the scattered village of Chipling(2165m).After an hour we reach to the farmlands of Pati Bhanjyang(1768m) and continue to our campsite Chisopani.

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu

We pack up early and head for Driving back to Kathmandu. Farewell Dinner in Nepali cultural restaurant.

Day 10: Depart Kathmandu

Departure for your safe journey towards your home country from the Tribhuwan International Airport.
