DAY 01
Arrival transfer from airport to Hotel. Today, is the first day to arrive in kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and your flight may arrive sometime in the mid day and may be today you are more tired and would not like to do any activities, so please do keep today as a free afternoon. As kathmandu lies in the subtropical climatic zone in Nepal, the temperature is always fine and most comfortable. Normally it rises upto 32 degree max and 3 degree minimum. Overnight in the hotel at kathmandu. Bed and breakfast.
DAY 02
One full day in Kathmandu for the trek preparation, today, we can prepare one small city tour including the kathmandu city and swyambhunath (known as a monkey temple) in the morning and also if it is required to go to the offices to make the trek permit than we are near to the offices of kathmandu. Than also check the luggage and necessary equipments for the trek and trek brief by our trek or office staff which will be interactive between the clients and the guide. Overnight in the hotel at kathmandu. Bed and breakfast.
DAY 03
Today we wake up at 06:30 am if we are driving on a local transport as this kind of transport has a regular schedule but if we are driving by our own private car, than we can make our own plan and schedule to wake up and have a breakfast in your hotel and proceed towards the Jiri. The highway goes towards the north east through the Araniko highway and twists from the Lamosangu towards the east ascending to the Mude and crossing the Charikot (which is the district headquarter of Dolakha) and continues towards the Jiri village which is the final destination of today. Jiri is also the commercial center of the region and many international organizations have operated the programs to uplift the life of people. To arrive Jiri it takes about 7 hours in bus which is an interesting journey as the landscape is fantastically beautiful. Overnight in the lodge at Jiri and today the fullboard package starts till the end of the trek.
DAY 04
Jiri to Bandhar: Today, usually in trek, the wake up time is early as the bed time is early as well. So does not affect for your duration of sleep so never mind. Here in Nepal, we go to bed early and wake up early as in the past we did not have any means of entertainment and in the morning with the chirping of birds and nature, we all wake up and go to the temple to ring the bell and to worship to the god. This tradition still continue and we practice all over the country. The freshness of the morning is a kind of blessing of nature. Than we have a breakfast and proceed towards the another destination on foot as this is the first day of trek, please do take enough time to enjoy the nature as well as to make your body balanced. Overnight in the lodge of Bhandhar.
DAY 05
Bhandhar to Sete: As usual, today also we wake up in the same time and make our journey early in the morning. During the trek, normally by the 10 am we make half of the way and take time for tea or coffee and also do not walk much during the midday as that time is quite hot. So the trek normally ends in about 15:00 hours and the late afternoon is free to rest and enjoy the nature. All the lodges are normally in the villages and we will have time in the evening to interact with the local people which you can enjoy in your free time. Overnight in Sete.
DAY 06
Sete to Junbesi: After wake up, prepare the breakfast and proceed towards the Junbesi which is famous village of this region. Many shops and the center of gathering of the people of this region. We usually walk during the trek about 6-8 hours from one camp to another and also we can sometime overlap the camp if all the members of the group is agreed and capable to do it. Otherwise, no rush, instead take your enough time and enjoy the nature and rural life of the mountain. Overnight in the lodge of Junbesi.
DAY 07
Junbesi to Nunthala: As this was the caravan route of the Tibetan and Indian traders who used to connect kathmandu to make the center point of trade, there are some names which is related to the medieval period trade post. The Tibetan people used to trade the wool and salt from Tibet to Nepal so the place which is kown as Nunthala, was one of the trade post of the Tibetan salt. Is interesting point to camp and be with people. Overnight in the lodge of Nunthala.
DAY 08
Nunthala to Kharikhola: this is more downwards walk so you will not have big problem though we suffer from the knee pain if we walk fast but if we maintain our slow pace than no problem as we enjoy the trail. There is a small trade post of this region which is built along the time of tourist trekking period in Nepal. Now the lukla airport has curtail the number of trekkers in this trail but still this village is surviving from the local business. We will have overnight in Kharikhola.
DAY 09
Kharikhola to Surkhe: Today, most of the trail is ascending and is a bit hard to accomplish. We recommend your to wake up early and do your trek early in the morning as this is more fresh and much more easier. In the second part of the day, take your time to rest and slowly arrive to your destination by the evening. Overnight at Surkhe.
DAY 10 Surkhe to Phakding: Today, you will meet the mainstream of tourist route which is joined from Lukla airport. Many tourist travel by plane to Lukla due to the short vacation and just having the goal of arriving to the Everest Base Camp and go back but the natural beauty lies in the above mentioned trail in the down hill. So the trail begin to be a bit crowded but this part of the trek is famous all over the world and also the geographical formation of the upland is interesting to observe and absorb and enjoy. Overnight at Phakding.
DAY 11 Today we will have the 6 hours trek to reach to the Namchebazar ( the capital of Sherpas) in which the first 3 hours is a simple ups and downs and the trail is not so hard but in the afternoon, you have to ascend the vertical up trail before the Namche which takes long time though the distance is short. Now you will walk in about 3000 meter from sea level and you will experience the fast heart beat and feel the tiredness. Arrive the Namche and overnight in the lodge.
DAY 12 Full day rest at Namchebazar: Today, you will have a free day which is to acclimatize from AMS so you can have a slow time to wake up, than breakfast and is recommended to walk to the Syangboche and surrounding area which is higher than Namche and for the overnight sleep back to the same lodge at Namche.
DAY 13 Namche to Tyangboche: Today, make your previous schedule which is to wake up early and after breakfast proceed towards the Tyangboche camp. The trail goes up and about one hour after, goes down towards the Dudhkoshi river and crossing the river, the trail ascends about 2 hours to the Tyangboche. This camp lies in the lap of many mountains in which the Amadablam is visible in front of you. There is a monastery of Sherpas which was founded in 16th century. That is the first monastery of sherpa community of that region of Khumbu and still that is the seat of the culture of that ethic group. If the monastery is open, you are welcome to inside and visit it freely. Overnight in the lodge of Tyangboche.
DAY 14
Tyangboche to Pheriche: Today, as usual we start our journey in the early morning and the speed of walk is a bit slow as we are going up and high. Take your time and drink as much water as possible. It is recommended to swallow at least 5 ltrs of liquid which keeps in balance our body and mind. The trail is beautiful as the landscape is incredibly beautiful. You re just walking on the lap of the major Himalayan range of the world. Overnight at Pheriche.
DAY 15
Pheriche-Chukung-Pheriche: This is a day hike which is to visit another valley of Chukung as well as to have a AMS prevention. It may take all day to go and come back from Feriche to Feriche visiting the Chukung valley but it deserves the walk as the valley is beautiful.
Day 16
Pheriche to Lobuche or Gorekchhep: Today, we can walk to high altitude from Feriche so we make an option for the overnight stay either one of this place. This all depends on your physical condition not in a distance. So decide on the spot whether to remain at Lobuche or go the Gorekchhap and overnight there.
Day 17
Visit Kalapattar or around : Today, take it easy the day as you can remain in that altitude or visiting the Gorekchhap and surrounding, decide to descend towards the Pheriche as you may suffer from AMS which is common in this altitude and take several decisions. One option those who stay last night at Lobuche, can go early to Gorakhsheep in the morning and after having some meal climb up to the Kalapattar ( the best view point of Everest) or go to the EBC if your final goal is to touch the stone of EBC and come back to stay overnight in the Gorekchhap. For the view of Everest, EBC (Everest Base Camp) is not a place, the Kalapattar is only the best Everest view point. So in the evening, you can stay either in Gorekchhap or come down to the Lobuche or the Pheriche depends on your physical condition and in this regards and in this altitude, please do consult to your guide as well. Overnight in the upland Everest region.
Day 18
Today, walk back descending towards the return journey from the Trek to kathmandu. You can make easily your destination to Tyangboche in which you are familiar. For the lodging, Diboche is better point as there are better lodges than Tyangboche and the distance is just of half an hour.
Day 19
Diboche to Jorsalle: today, wake up as usual and repeat the same route that you made during the ascending so you can arrive to Namche at the time of Lunch and after lunch continue towards the Jorsalle where you had the entry permission of Sagarmatha National Park have shown. You can have a comfortable stay there as it is a better temperature and also the lower elevation. Overnight at Jorsalle.
Day 20
Jorsalle to Lukla: Today, you can easily make your destination to Lukla (the airport is located there) where the trail is familiar for you. Than overnight in lukla near the airport. The best lodges are found there . you can clean up yourself and celebrate the successful walking to the Everest region and prepare for your next destination to the capital of Nepal by plan in the next day. Also, if the trek staffs are not coming to kathmandu, than do farewell ceremony by your side as this generally expected by the trek staffs. After all is a good fun to celebrate with the new fellow who served you for your holiday and support to finalize the beautiful holiday.
Day 21
Lukla to Kathmandu: Normally the flight to kathmandu from Lukla is operated in the early morning so rush to wake up on the adequate time and have a breakfast and go to the airport for your flight to kathmandu. The flight takes about 40 mnts to kathmandu which is a beautiful flight. Leaving the high mountains behind and in the right hand side. While you arrive in kathmandu, than today you will have a lesure time to rest. Today, you will have breakfast in Lukla and the Hotel in kathmandu is included.
Day 22
One full day sightseeing in the kathmandu valley. Today, you can wake up at 08:00 and have a breakfast at 08:30 am. We leave for full day sightseeing to the temple of Buddhanath, Pashupatinath, the city of Bhaktapur or Bhdagaun and the city of Patan these four squares are the world heritage sites of Nepal and you can visit all of them in the one day. Day 23
Departure transfer from hotel to airport for the final departure. Take it easy in the morning and prepare your departure from Nepal to your destination. We will come to pick you up in your hotel about 3 hours before your departure schedule. Please do check your travel documents and passports as well as check out from your hotel.
