Mantra:

Mantra is a sacred words of great powers and blessings as well as the tool for thinking which creates a mental picture and with its sound it calls forth its content into a state of immediate reality. Mantra is not merely speech but a power and words does not talk but it acts. Mantras are used for different religious activities in all over the world but in asian countries this is most popularly used and implemented during the ceremonies of the festivals. Mantras are considered here as the language of gods and it is kept, chanted and used with great veneration. Mantra practice can be relied upon as quick, effective, and powerful way of focusing, stabilizing and freeing the mind. It may help to build constructive states of mind, reinforcing mind training, enhances our basic intelligence wakefulness, concentration and present awareness, with the help of different kinds of mantras: there are the mantras which has different implication which is healing, wisdom, compassion, awareness, purification, wrathful and peaceful. We sometime hear short mantras like OM and sometime longer which can be a page long and it may take longer to chant. The short mantras are called a seed syllable mantras which carries a long interpretation and also the sound which is created is like a seed which may grow as a plant and may blossom and may give a sweet fruits.

Mantra practice is a highly effective centering skill which can legitimately be regarded as a tool of transcendences or a kind of technology of the sacred. We also combine mantras with other centering devices while we chant mantras, we concentrate on breathing, hold a visualization in our head and hold a rosary of beads for centering as well as for keeping track of the number of recitations. It may help to alter atmosphere and effect swift transformation both externally and in the world within ourselves. Mantras are not translated but may use to transmit the energy and its power. In Tibetan language there is a famous mantra which is chanted as “om mane padme hum”.
Om is a seed syllable which is the primordial sound and according to hindus this is the divine chanting gifted by the god of creation. This is composed of three alphabets A U M which refers the hindu trinity and the concept of three. It has myriads of explanation but in an essence this is a seed syllable which may be useful to concentration our mind and get into the goal of nirvana.

Mane is the precious jewel which is the jewel of our mind and heart. The precious stone , like diamond is not destructible but it may destroy the enemy, and itself is protected by outer forces. The quality our soul is similar to the mane stone so we need to awaken our mind and soul to the god and help to achieve enlightenment.
Padme is the lotus which is the symbol of purity as well as this the flower of knowledge which is deposited in the deep of our mind and heart which has to be grown as a lotus flower and come to the surface and blossom and enlighten our own life as well as our surrounding.

Hum is the compliment of om as this is considered as a seed syllable and carries the essence of entire religion.
