You will found Tantra and Mantra in three major religions of Nepal includes Hinduism, Buddhism and Shamanism. Shamanism is probably humankind's oldest healing tradition having survived for tens of thousands of years. Because of their psychological techniques, shames are sometimes described as the world's first psychologists and psychotherapists, shamans are often confused with other healing practitioners such as priests, mediums, and with doctors and do in fact often fill these roles. However, they can be distinguished and defined as practitioners whose activities include a method of gaining information by voluntarily entering alternate states of consciousness in which they experience themselves, or their "Spirits", traveling to other realms at will, and there obtaining information and power with which to benefit others.Shamanism has been in Practice in Nepal since ancient time.

 In Many mountain villages , mostly in tamang settlements it is still practiced . Upon the request of our clients we organise trips to the villages of these Shamans. Almost always these villages are on the route to some mountains and serves the double purpose of a trek as well. Shaman practice can be organised in Kathmandu valley as well.Every year we organise trek to Lake Gosainkunda where Shamans from Langtang region gather during Janai Purnima festival. It is a great scene for Shaman watchers.

Our tour starts with sightseeing around historically important capital, Kathmandu, where we see different historical monuments and ends at Timal danda. On our way, we will see beautiful natural scenery and experience shamanism culture that is followed in various part of our country and other countries as well. We will also visit Dhulikhel, Namobuddha. These both places are famous for natural beauty.
Day 1: Arrival
After we land in Tribhuwan Airport, we will be warmly welcomed by our guide and will be taken to hotel.  In the evening a welcome dinner is organized at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where we will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program as well as fine meal.

Day 2: Kathmandu: Sightseeing
After Breakfast, we go around the Kathmandu valley covering Pashupatinath Temple and experience the valley’s olden days at Kathmandu Durbar Square. The Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings who ruled over the city. Most of the valley’s Palaces and temples are surrounded with spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. We will know about the medieval period of Nepal and visit many historical monuments, and also see the wooden sculpture works. Overnight at Hotel,  Kathmandu.

Day 3: Drive to Dhulikhel
We will drive to Dhulikhel by bus. It is a delightful place renowned for its traditional buildings. Most of the Newari lifestyle is still intact and also offers spectacular snow covered mountains. Dhulikhel is a place of immense beauty and a paradise for nature lovers. We will take some very pleasant short treks around the area. At Dhulikhel we will have lunch. Afterwards we will explore around the village. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Trek to Namobuddha or drive
Namobuddha is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Valley, particularly significant to Tibetan Buddhists. Colorful prayer flags and pilgrims surround the white stupa and a carved stone slab recounts the tale. Namobuddha is situated at 1750m, it takes about hours to reach Namobuddha from Dhulikhel. We will trek around Namobuddha, as we are on the height we will be able to see beautiful view of the Himalayan snow capped mountains including Annapurna, Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Langtang, Mt. Phuribichyachu, Mt. Gaurishankar, Mt. Lhotse along with many other smaller named and unnamed peaks is stunning.
For the people who are not willing to walk have facility of bus as well. we can drive to Namobudhha and explore the place.

Day 5: Trek or drive to Timal Danda
Today, We trek from namo Buddha for 2 to 4 hours. After trekking, we will drive to timal danda. Timal danda is famous for shamanism and is popular among Tamang culture in that area. This village also has mixed culture and lot of things to see and experience including Shamanic practices. Timala Danda is a small town where villagers gather to buy and sell things of daily needs in the weekly Market called ‘Haat Bazaar’.
If we reach the village on the day when the daily market is placed we can see many Shamans/Jankri coming with their unique dress and the drum made up of goat skin. We will arrange for the rituals to be performed by shamans in the evening.

Day 6: Spend the night
Today, Day is all ours. We will have great chance to study and explore the culture of tamang peoples. Most importantly, we will know about Shamanism and purpose of doing this. It will be a wonderful day for those who want to shoot photographs, makes documentary, explore their rituals etc. We will get to know their culture and their way of living.

Day 7: Festival day
In this day, we will see the actual world of ‘Dhamis and Jhakri’ where they show different dramatic performance of their rituals. he shamans are spreader in Nepal, Tibet and most of the countries of Europe.They worship lord Shiva to get power main Banepa  Gosaikunda , sailung danda, Gosaikunda  they will observe at Mela and get power, they known as the special practitioner who has specialized in the derivative  priest. The Jhakri usually carry a double sided dram nd got up is headdress of peacock feathers. To real   the patient they use animal and plants of forest for the help from deities.  They worship the lord Buddha but there are two types one who is non veg. where as one are vegetarian

Day 8: Trek down to Panauti or straight to departure
So today, if you have time and interest we will trek to Panauti enjoying the mountains and sceneries and the same day we will return back to Kathmandu. Else we will drive directly to Kathmandu bid you goodbye in Tribhuwan International Airport.
