City Sightseeing by Mountain biking: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bauddhanath

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour through UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square showcases Nepalese art and architecture at its best. The architecture is typical of the Malla dynasty who ruled over Nepal from the 12th to the 18th century. Swayambhunath Temple is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. The arch formed white washed Stupa is made out of block and earth supporting an elevated tapered tower topped by a zenith of copper overlaid. The infinitely knowledgeable eyes of Lord Buddha lay on every one of the four sides of the tapered base. This slope is a mosaic of little Chaityas and Pagoda and is the most imperative Buddhist site in Nepal. Appreciate the perspectives of sprawling Kathmandu from the highest point of this world legacy site landmark. Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the banks of Bagmati river and is one of the major temples of Lord Shiva. The Bauddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia which is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

day 3

Mountain Biking from Thamel to Kakani(2073m) via Mudkhu and then downhill to Surya Chaur, Nuwakot(1983m)

This is a picturesque cycling course around the valley. The ride to Surya Chaur, Nuwakot from Kathmandu begins at Balaju (2 kilometers north of Thamel) and heads towards the street to Kakani which, at a height of 2073 meters, is 23 kilometers away.

The street goes through the turns and turns of the Nagarjuna Forest Reserve. A short break watching the widely varied vegetation may be a smart thought here. When you achieve the pinnacle of the edge, in the wake of experiencing the underlying go to the valley, take the street to one side, rather than going not far off prompting Trishuli Bazar. The T-intersection is unmistakably stamped.

Subsequent to riding another 4 kilometers of soak slope, you achieve Kakani. With heaps of tea houses around, halting for lunch with stunning perspectives of the mountains and timberlands resembles a what tops off an already good thing cake!
