Dhampus Peak 6012m is known as Thapa Peak. located in the middle of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range, the peak is technically straightforward that offers a breathtaking perspective of the entire upper Kali Gandaki. From the summit, we have a sublime perspective of more than thirty unique peaks among Annapurna and Dhaulagiri with the nearby view of Tukuche and Dhaulagiri. Dhampus Peak Climbing with us is an excellent opportunity for climbers wanting to accomplish the less achieved Dhampus Peak while investigating the Annapurna and Mustang area’s rich verdure and faunas.

Dhampus Peak Climbing with Adventure Outdoor Treks and Expedition begins following multi day drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Dhampus Peak can be summit either by short course by means of Jomsom or by following the whole Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek. Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel

Adventure Outdoors warmly welcome the guest at Tribhuwan International Airport Nepal with a plea card along with Tourist bus, Hiace or a Car depending on the number of Visitors. Once arrival we transfer our guest to the hotel and if the pickup is of morning we serve a hot and wonderful lunch along a pleasurable hotel service and at night dinner in the city area and monitoring the ultimate facility of our guest we provide an accommodation service.

Day 2
Half day Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley & Preparation Day

After the fine breakfast provided from the Hotel we pick up our guest from the hotel and help them to make a small tour in the early morning. The half day sightseen include wonderful places of Kathmandu along few driving distance country side where the food are served on a way according to the choice and preference of our customers. At night dinner is served and overnight stay hotel.

Day 3
Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After breakfast we take a flight to Pokhara and upon arrival transfer to hotel. At pokhara we visit few immensely beautiful palaces and at evening enjoy the lake side atmosphere and stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 4
Drive Pokhara to Takam / Camping

After breakfast we take a drive to Takam and from a daylong drive we reach Takam. Upon arrival we set our camp and stay overnight.

Day 5
Trek from Takam to Bagar / Camping

Leavening Takam village we trek towards Bagar and upon arrival set our luggage, relax and stay overnight at Bagar.

Day 6
Bagar to Dovan / Camping

Similar as day 5 leavening Bagar village we trek towards Dovan and upon arrival set our luggage, relax and stay overnight at Dovan.

Day 7
Dovan to Sallaghari / Camping

From Dovan we now pack our luggage and start to trek and reach Sallaghari at evening.

Day 8
Sallaghari to Italian Base Camp / Camping

From Sallaghari we trek up and reach Italian base camp and set our camp and stay overnight at camp.

Day 9
Rest day for Acclimatization at Italian Base Camp / Camping

Since we are nearly at a height of 5000 m so it is important to adapt the changing atmosphere and check the oxygen level. Thereby we take halt at day 9.

Day 10
Italian Base Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp / Camping

From the base camp we now move towards another base camp and reach Dhaulagri camp at evening and stay overnight.

Day 11
Dhaulagiri Base Camp - French Pass (5,360 m) Trek to Hidden Valley (5,080 m)

From Dhaulagiri Base Camp passing the French pass at an altitude of 5360 m we trek down and reach beautiful valley named as hidden valley at Nepal. The valley is positioned at 5080 m and upon arrival we set camp and stay overnight.

Day 12
Hidden Valley - Thapa Pass (5,250 m) Trek to Thapa Base camp (5,000 m)

From hidden valley passing the Thapa pass at an altitude of 5250 m we trek down. Trekking 250 m down from Thapa pass we reach Thapa base camp at an altitude of 5000 m and stay overnight.

Day 13
Base Camp to Summit Thapa Peak & Trek to Yak Kharka / Camping

From base camp we begin our trek and reach summit Thapa Peak at an altitude of 6012 m. After an average walk of 5-6 hours, we finally reach summit and get prepared to come down since the weather is drastically unpredictable so we move down the same day and halt at high camp.

Day 14
One extra day in case of bad weather & member’s health condition.

We halt for a day at camp since of unpredictable weather condition so we stay overnight at Yak Kharka.

Day 15
Yak Kharka to Marpha / Lodge

From Yak Kharka we trek down and reach Marpha at day 15 and halt.

Day 16
Drive Marpha to Pokhara & transfer to Hotel

From Marpha we drive to pokhara halt there and at evening troll around pokhara and stay overnight.

Day 17
Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel, Farewell cultural dinner

From pokhara we fly back to Kathmandu and upon arrival transfer to hotel. At evening do some souvenir shopping and take farewell dinner.

Day 18
Drive to Airport for Final Departure.

The groups are dropped at airport with warm hospitality for another destination.

Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
