Yala Peak Climbing (5732m) is one of the less demanding pinnacles of Nepal lying just toward the north of Kathmandu in the wonderful Langtang valley area. It has unparalleled common magnificence with blend of social wealth. Langtang region has more than seventy ice sheets of various sizes, the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain extents, and high – height lakes including Gosainkunda, Parvatikunda, Bhairavkunda, and Dudhkunda. The Tibetan origin Tamang communities are the dominating class of the area. The traditionally built stone houses beautifully carved wooden patios, their remarkable dress and the craftsmanship mirror their rich Himalayan legacy. Reaching out in an east-west bearing, the locale was beforehand a confined territory. Located around 30 km towards the north of Kathmandu is overwhelmed by Langtang Lirung (7,245m), the most astounding crest in the territory. While heading towards Yala Peak, one can have shocking perspectives of Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and relentless Shishapangma (8027m) in Tibetan side. The base camp of Yala Peak Climbing is located at Kyangjin Gompa (3749m/12300 ft), while its high camp is at 4800 meters from where we influence our summit to offer. The keep going 400 m is on ice, so we will utilize crampons, ice hatchet and rope for our solace. After the Yela Peak climbing we come back to Dhunche through Syabrubesi and drive to Kathmandu.

Day 1
Arrive in TIA, Kathmandu

Our representative will pick you up at the airport. Get a feel for the streets the first day, absorb the sights and sounds, or rest at the hotel. We discuss the journey in the evening.

Day 2
Namaste Kathmandu

Kathmandu, the capital city, boasts an intense mix of cultures and religions unique to Nepal. Turn the Buddhist prayer wheels at Swoyambhu- the monkey temple and meet the steady gaze of the Buddha’s eyes at the famous Boudhanath stupa. Experience the valley’s olden days at the Kathmandu Durbar Square- which has remained authentic even as modernization has crept in all around it. See Kathmandu, with our trained guide. Day 3
Drive to Syaphrubesi

Early morning after breakfast we arrange jeep, car, HiAce or a tourist bus according the number of guests and depending on road situation. Once, pick up from Kathmandu hotel we take a long and joyful ride towards Syaphrubesi . On way we are served with lunch and at evening we reach our destination. At evening we relax take a dinner enjoy the moment and stay overnight at Syaphrubesi .

Day 4
Trek to Lama Hotel

Well from day 3 our trek begins. From Syaphrubesi we start our trek enjoying the almighty hills and a road with amazing curves. Finally, after a day long walk of nearly 5-6 hours we reach Lama Hotel. Take our dinner and stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 5
Trek to Langtang Village

After breakfast we begin our trek from Lama Hotel and similarly as day 3 enjoying the veneer trail at evening we reach Langtang village where we freshen up and stay overnight at lodge.

(Langtang is a beautiful village of Nepal. It is the most liked tourist destination that was once completely vanished from the massive avalanche followed by the earthquake in April 2015 .However, now the village is reconditioned and once again the same spot as before).

Day 6
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa

From village we now after a wonderful Nepalese breakfast start our trek and later a walk of 6-7 hours we reach Kyanjin Gompa. Upon arrival we freshen up, enjoy the tranquil evening. Take our dinner and stay overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 7
Rest day & Acclimatization

Kyanjin Gompa is at an attitude of 3870 m so it is very important for our group to adapt the height and stay alert in the environment since from another day we unceasingly take a height.

Day 8
Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp

From Kyanjin Gompa we trek towards Yala Base Camp. Passing the Kyanjin Gompa we see numbers of river, rivulets and high hilled mountains. On day 7 after a long and tedious walk we reach the base camp. Upon arrival set all our necessary stuffs and stay overnight at camp.

Day 9
Base Camp to Summit Yala Peak & Back to Kyanjin Gompa

After taking light food at our camp we now start the trek from base camp and walking the way we feel blessed to see the enormous white feathery snow-covered mountains. Upon arrival at an altitude of 5545m we cheer up our victory and without delay we incessantly trek down to our camp before night and relax inside our camp and prepare for other day trek.

Day 10
Trek to Lama Hotel

The same trail begins and from base camp we gain trek down to Lama Hotel and after a walk we reach and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 11
Trek to Syaphrubesi

From Lama Hotel after a wonderful breakfast we trek down and finally reach Syaphrubesi at evening and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 12
Drive Back to Kathmandu

From Syaphrubesi we take a daylong drive and reach Kathmandu at evening and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 13
Free Day at Kathmandu, Farewell Cultural Dinner

Since Kathmandu valley is full of historical importance so the day we plan for a short souvenir shopping and sightseeing.

Day 14
Drive to Airport Final Departure

The groups are dropped at airport with warm hospitality for another destination.

Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
